Reproduction of 8th-10th century silk in Cathedral at Sens. Compound weft-faced twill: silk wefts and warp (organzine). Pattern shows pairs of affronted peacocks inside roundels; in interspaces, 8-pointed stars in ovals. Colors: neutral purple, light green, salmon pink and beige. Surface abraded and bleached; all four sides show cut edges.
