Skirt made from 18th century fabric; light blue satin with silk brocaded in reds and greens of carnation-like blossoms and slender stems arranged in horizontal rows; quite full with fullness pleated into tan cotton waistband. Believed to have belonged to Anne Barrett Hill, daughter of John Barrett (1708-1786) and wife of Henry Hill. 19th century, of 18th century brocade.
