DescriptionDark café-au-lait ribbed silk taffeta, four widths seamed along selvedges (three orange and two yellow stripes). Lower third worked with brilliant polychrome silks in satin and knotted stitches. Pattern shows symmetrical repeat using roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, etc. and shells. Silk ground worn in places; edges frayed; a few breaks. Selvedge at right breaking off.
