Flounce for wing chair in plain weave linen embroidered with wool crewels in scrolling vine pattern with flowers, pines, buds, and leaves. Stems in chain stitch in various shades of blue-green and green. Flower blossoms, buds and leaves in New England Laid stitch (Roumanian Couching); a few of these elements in stain stitch. Bottom edge trimmed with linen tape woven in floral and dot pattern with extra blue patterning warps. Linen pieced in two sections along top; extra piece (original) attached above, which would have been under the cushion; additional piece added to this (not original).
