Slip cover for seat in plain weave linen embroidered with wool crewels in scrolling vine pattern with flowers, pines, buds, leaves, and strawberries. Stems in chain stitch in various shades of blue-green and green. Flower blossoms, buds and leaves in New England Laid stitch (Roumanian Couching); a few of these elements in stain stitch; pink-red strawberries in New England Laid stitch (Roumanian Couching) couched with white threads; yellow centers of some blossoms in French knots. Seams trimmed with linen tape woven in floral and dot pattern with extra blue patterning warps.
