DescriptionThis small bag-shaped jar has a rounded base, a very short neck, and a rolled rim. There are traces of red slip on the exterior. A potmark, possibly a botanical motif, has been incised on one side of the jar.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave IV-B. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
