Small globular storage jar with direct rim and flat, string-cut base: complete. The jar was wheelmade. The surface is heavily eroded, so it is not possible to ascertain whether it was originally slipped or not. “IV” and “248” painted in large black numbers on base.

Provenance

From Elkab. 1897, excavated by J. E. Quibell for the Egyptian Research Account , assigned to the Egyptian Research Account in the division of finds by the government of Egypt; given to the MFA by the ERA in response for contributions.
