Small (reduced-scale) neckless shouldered jar with flat base and collared rim: missing most of the neck and rim, but complete profile preserved. The entire vessel was manufactured using the wheel, as is common for this class of pottery. The jar is unslipped.
From Giza, G 4440 A, shaft. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
