DescriptionRectangular inner field bisected lengthwise. In each half a strip bearing a symmetrical floral design of four curling petals repeating in closely set staggered rows, worked in single running stitch with blue silk yarns. Interworked are lozenge motives in metallic yarns. Inner border of silk and metallic yarns. Surrounding outer field worked in a similar fashion. Outer border of silk and metallic yarns in a guilloche pattern. Possibly pieced together from a larger panel with borders added later. Minor stains and holes.
