This small redware jar is of squat bag-shaped proportions with a rounded base, very short neck, and a rolled rim. It appears to haved been treated with a red wash, some of which has worn away.

Provenance

From Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 432. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
