DescriptionThis small squat jar has a rounded base, a very short constricted neck, and an everted rim. The exterior shows traces of having been treated with a red slip and burnished/polished, though surface treatments have worn considerably.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Tumulus III, grave 308. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
