DescriptionOval bombe shape, raised on four lion's paw feet with entwined tails and headed by lion's masks. Tied-reed rim, with two double-scroll handles ending in sea monster heads and scalework, shells, and foliage. The domed cover surmounted by a handle formed as two lion masks. Each side of the cover engraved with a shield enclosing a crest.

Marks Struck under bases with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1736-7) and with maker's mark of Paul de Lamerie.
