Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, debris south of Great Temple of Amen. 1919-1920: excavated in four fragments by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition, December 1919 and January 1920; 1921: alloted to the MFA by the government of the Sudan.
