Trifid-handled spoon with upturned tip and flat stem descending to an elliptical bowl with a small, triangular drop.

Inscription

Intials "M E" faintly pricked on back of handle.

Markings

On back of handle is stamped a tower in an ellipse, repeated three times, and an incuse pine cone. Marked inside bowl with maker's mark "DA," with pellets above and below in a beaded circle.

Provenance

The Second Congregational Church in Marblehead, Massachusetts (later called the Unitarian Universalist Church in Marblehead); purchased by the MFA from the church in 1984.
