Spoon bowl stamped in the shape of a shell with scalloped edges. Spoon handle is urn-shaped near bowl, straight, then flares out to a rectangular top, with rounded top edges. Front top of handle engraved with “C.G.” in script. Back of handle marked with four marks: HOOD & TOBEY; two oval shaped marks with indistinguishable designs flanking a diamond shaped mark with indistinguishable design. Two stickers: “30-” and “HOOD + Toby/ 1849/ Albany, NY”.
