The spoon has a deep oval bowl, a ridged rat tail, and a flattened stem with a trefid terminus. The bowl and stem of the spoon are forged from a single piece.

On back of stem, maker's mark IS crowned in a plain shield (Kent, 1981, p. 34); leopard's head crowned; lion passant; illegible date letter
