DescriptionOne of a set of four shaped square dishes with molded rims and an engraved crest in the center. Engraved with FC and stamped with CV on the underside of therim.
Marks Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, NCV, a pearl (incomplete) (Nocq, p. 82). Warden's Mark: a crowned R (Incomplete) probably the mark for 1757-1758 (Dennis, 36). Discharge Mark: for large work, 1756-1762: a woman's head (Incomplete) (Dennis, 36).
