Provenance

Before 1971, apparently owned by an area school, possibly the Boston Latin School [evidenced by an inscription on the c1 key lever]. By 1971, sold by source unidentified to Edmund Baylies, Southport, Connecticut; 1971, gift of Baylies to the MFA. (Accession Date: November 27, 1985)
