This jar is fashioned of a buff-colored marl clay. It has squat, bag-shaped proportions with a rounded base, very short covcave neck, and a rolled rim.

Provenance

From Kerma, Cemetery S, Tumulus IV, grave 420. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
