DescriptionThe stone is colored greenish-gray and is fine-grained. The base is rounded, and the rim is flattened and everted. There is a ring modeled at the top. It is broken and mended. Only half of the jar remains.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Menkaura (Menkaura) Valley Temple, Giza. 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
