Bronze figurine of a stag from Northwestern Iran, Caspian coastal region.Groups of small bronze stags and bulls, pierced for suspension, have been found in tombs, where they appear to have been hung from men’s belts. Their exact meaning is unknown. They may have been related with notions of the afterlife.
