DescriptionStamp-seal or seal-shaped ornament in the form of a recumbent mountain sheep (?). Achaemenian Style. Hollow cast, with the foot attached separately, this animal with his feet tucked under him is finished by chasing and stippling. An engraved (intaglio) stone was probably set in the bottom, within the oval border of granulation(s). Black patina.
