The elliptical stand is formed from sheet with an applied molded border. It has a shaped outline and rests on short reeded feet. Around the perimeter of the molded border is a band of pounced and bright-cut ornament. An oval in the center encloses the engraved coat of arms.

Engraved in center, an unidentified crest (a demilion rampant, ducally crowned)

Markings

On underside, maker's mark HB (Grimwade 961); sovereign's head; date letter o; leopard's head crowned; lion passant.
