The tile shows a seated figure, in a spotted robe and wearing eyeglasses, in reserve against the light brown luster ground. Similar, but six-pointed, small tiles were producedaround 1200, very early in Kashan production. Tiles like this one appears to be in a revival of this Monumental style.
