Starched gauze Quaker cap with cream colored satin ribbon ties, worn by Mrs. William (Rhoda) Gifford, born November 27, 1806 in Dartmouth, Mass.; died December 22, 1891 in New Bedford; her daughter was Mrs. James H. Chace (Lucretia); her grand-daughter, Mrs. George H. Davenport (Camilla Chace); her great grand-daughter Mrs. William T. Aldrich (Dorothea Davenport). Cf.: 53.154 and 53.155.
