Warren's collection (loaned by him to MFA in 1925 as 594.25, sent to the Metropolitan Museum in 1931 and not acquired by that institution); by 1959: with Münzen und Medaillen A.G., Malzgasse 25, Basel, Switzerland (Münzen und Medaillen A.G. auction 19, June 5-6, 1959, lot 471); purchased at the Münzen und Medaiien auction on behalf of MFA by Leu & Company, Bahnhofstrasse 32, Zurich, Switzerland; purchased by MFA from Leu & Company, September 17, 1959, for $ 5,457.85 (this is the total price for 59.483-59.489)
