Obverse: Taras astride dolphin to left; right arm extended, hand in profile; left drawn back holding Boiotian shield upward, behind which, spear slanting.
Reverse: Taras as founder or oikist, to right; left arm extended, palm downwards; on back of hand, bird right, wings open; in lowered right, distaff slanting downward.
Round incuse.
