This deep, straight-sided redware bowl is treated with a highly polished, red painted basket pattern arranged in square segments on the exterior. The interior is black. The vessel has very thin walls. The base is flat, and the rim is plain. It is broken and mended with some sections missing.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan), 142/7. 1910-11: excavated by the Archaeological Survey of Nubia 1910-11. Assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
