DescriptionThis string is comprised of ten stylized Eye of Horus (wedjat) ? amulets, eighteen black cylinder beads, six rectangular beads with incised line decoration, two biconical beads, three blue cylinder beads and six brown cylinder beads. A bronze (?) wire coil is suspended from the center.
ProvenanceFrom Abydos, tomb D 79. 1901: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund.
