The stylus shaft has a gently biconical shape. The point is more steeply conical. The opposite end is broken and might originally have had a knobbed termination. Two pairs of grooves form a collar above the pointed end. Another groove circles the shaft near the broken end.

Provenance

By 1964: with a dealer in Athens (said to be from a tomb in Macedonia, found with objects 65.910, 65.911, and 65.912); purchased by MFA, September 22, 1965
