From a tête-a-tête service made for Prince Dolgoruky. Slender, baluster shape. Gilded handles terminating in green leaves. Painted on both sides with a crowned cartouche with laurel wreath; flanked by trophies of war; enclosing the gilded initials of Dolgoruky on the obverse, his coat-of-arms on the reverse. A gilt band entwined with oak leaves encircles the rim. Other pieces of the set are in Hermitage Museum.

Markings

Marked on bottom with brownish-gray-violet two-headed eagle and incised sun.
