Descriptiontipped fiddle stem (probably originally upturned but bent straight), rounded shoulder, egg-shaped bowl.
Marks "Cowles Mfg. __" stamped on the back of the stem the initial C is somewhat obscured and the last part of the right side of the stamp apparently did not contact the metal. The number "1" is struck incuse on the back of the shoulder.
Inscriptions"S C R" laterally on the top of the stem.
