The spoon is forged from a single piece of silver and has an oval bowl, a rat tail, a flattened stem, and a ribbed Hanoverian terminus.
ARMORIALS: engraved on back of stem, near the end, the crest of Tatum; engraved on end of stem, the crest of Hall or Butts.
INSCRIPTIONS: pricked on back of stem,"MW/Sept. ye 4th / 1725".
