DescriptionTalatat block. Sandstone fragment of relief from larger scene (joining portions in Munich & Luxor) depicting the jubilee festival of King Akhenaten; this block shows a right-facing Akhenaten (wearing the red crown of Lower Egypt) with the rays of the sun-disk extending down from above; behind him (at left) the top of the queen's headdress and prostrated courtiers are partially preserved, rendered in smaller scale than the king; parts of two columns of hieroglyphic text are also preserved.
