DescriptionVeneered case, walnut, bombe base with cut corners on claw and ball feet. Mid-section has concave corners with carving, carved edge on shaped door, ormolu cartouche over glass in center. Hood has columns with gilded acanthus capitols, arched door and glass panels at sides; bands of cut-out design, carved cresting, turned finials at sides, platform top surmounted by gilded figure of Time. Painting around dial which shows days, weeks, etc. Musical chimes, animated figures.
