DescriptionA tall coffee cup in mid-buff fritware, painted outside underglaze in blue.(without apparent outlining.) This decoration is divided into four vertical panels between double concentric lines at top and bottom. Each panel shows a vase with three lobes suggesting Chinese rockwork and with protruding leafy plants. At their base the vases are flanked by thick scrolling lines, and similar lines are used to separate the panels - with hints of a continuing field above and below. The base is undecorated, except by an ‘S’ or ‘N’ shaped artist mark.
