This group of fragments are from a tall cup that was excavated with four complete vessels of similar type. Red ware, coarse, straw-marked, uneven, broken, red-washed rim.
From Meroe W486. 1923: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
