DescriptionThe stone is fine-grained with horizontal bands of white. It is brown-veined. The base is flat, and the rim is inverted. It is broken and mended. Fragments are missing.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Menkaura (Menkaura) Valley Temple, Giza. 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
