Cylindrical, three ball feet modeled with masks and strap work affixed by oval plaques. Three decorative appliqués divide finely chased and pricked band at base; seven inset coins have gilded scrolls strapwork engraved and pricked them with wavy line below thick lip. Handle with repousse fruit, lower joining at appliqué, has shield tip with scroll to rest on. Thumbpiece repeats feet and has turned finial. Flat cover, rounded at edge with engraved and pricked border has gilded coin (or medal) of Carolus XI. Interior gilt. Marks on bottom and “Ellen White Joy/from her Mother/3 November 1904.”
