Ground: cream linen cloth; stained and worn at edges; several holes. At top are narrow green silk stripe (mostly perished) and two strips of unwoven warps, probably indicating end of loom-length. Design: Kufic inscription (.115 high) in red silk tapestry. Inscription: “(In the name) of God the Compassionate the Merciful. El Fadl, el Muti’ lillah, Commander of the Faithful. May God prolong his life. The year…”. See note.
