Ground: cream linen gauze (in cloth weave); finer cloth sewed to top and bottom of piece. Design: 5 tapestry bands (of red, blue, light-yellow, and black silk and cream linen) separated by the ground material. Central band (.05 wide) irregular blue and pink ovals on yellow ground. Above and below is line of blue imitation Kufic writing on black ground. Outer 2 bands (.02 wide ea.) on yellow ground is line of connected ovals containing bird or palmette on yellow, red or blue ground. Inner 2 bands (.02 wide each) blue and cream palmettes are placed on red ground. Very frail; holes.
