Ground: fine cream linen cloth; coarser cloth sewed to bottom. Design: 3 tapestry bands separated by stripe of ground material; woven in yellow, blue, pink, black and green silk and cream linen. Central band: (.045 wide) yellow guilloche enclosing blue and pink bird and palmette on cream ovals. 2 outer bands (.11 wide) blue and yellow guilloche enclosing affronted birds (on red ovals) and cream rabbit on black ovals). Above and below are 2 narrow borders; one with running leafy vine of green on black and the other with black line of cream Kufic writing (.015 high) on red ground decorated with yellow and black palmettes; narrow blue woven stripe at outside. Inscription: “Power” (repeated). See note on 01.5908.
