DescriptionGround: closely-woven cream linen cloth; stained, holes. Sewed together in center. Design: 2 tapestry bands of pale-yellow, pink, blue, blue-green and black silk and cream linen. Row of tiny black and white rondels and blue or green dots on central pale-yellow band ( .015 wide). Above and below are 2 narrow borders of S-shaped forms (.005 wide ea.) (inner border of yellow, outer of blue-green). At top and bottom is border of imitation Kufic characters (.01 high) of cream on pink ground: decorated with tiny yellow and black medallions. Band is edged, top and bottom with narrow line of blue S-shaped forms. See note.
