This tapestry illustrates the biblical episode from Genesis XXII:3-13. the action of which takes place in an open landscape. Biblical scene as above occupies central area. Wide border containing eight allegorical figures of Virtues (Prudencia, Fides, etc.). Narrow outer border showing intertwined, spiral ribbons. Made in three pieces; joined where upper and lower borders meet field. Colors well preserved. A number of darning repairs. Original selvedges lost, replaced by modern textured bands.
