Warp of wool; ground of deep blue wool, with design of red, green, and yellow wool and natural-colored linen; woven into a plain woolen cloth; braid of red wool on edge; band shows an interlaced ornament framing an entwined branch with floral motifs on both sides; at each side of the band is a pendant that encloses a bird; probably a shoulder band. Design shows Byzantine influence. From Akhmim.
