DescriptionWarp of linen; ground of red wool; design consists of four disconnected diagonal bands forming a lozenge which encloses a tree motif inside an oval medallion; a cross is in the lower part of the fragment; floral motifs on both sides show that the lozenge design is part of a repeated motif; design is woven with light and dark green, red, pink, yellow, blue and brown wool and natural-colored linen. Design shows Byzantine influence.
