DescriptionWarp of linen; ground of natural-colored linen. An all over design of leaves and dots of dark blue wool. Each leaf has has a short stem. Design shows Roman influence.
ProvenanceDiscovered by W. M. F. Petrie in the Greco-Egyptian cemetery of Hawara in the Fayûm in 1888. "The interments in this cemetery were from 400 B.C. to 150 A.D." This piece dates from 200 B.C. to 150 A.D." Amelia B. Edwards.
