Warp of linen; ground of brownish violet wool and natural-colored linen, with design of brownish violet wool; the design in two tapestry bands is woven into a looped linen cloth. Design in each band shows a vase at each end, connected by a row of oval-shaped units, of which three enclose floral motifs and two enclose birds. Design shows Roman influence. The shape of the two prallel bands suggests that they are sleeve bands.
