Warp of linen; ground of natural-colored linen; the design, woven with plum-colored wool, consists of a standing man leaning on a staff in a central circle inside a rectangular frame surrounded by scrolled branches, each enclosing a fruit (pomegranate ) or a bird; the figure in the centre is surrounded by vine leaves and grapes which suggest that it may represent Dionysus..
