Warp of linen, stripes of deep violet wool with rows of circular interlaced motifs. The violet stripes are separated by natural colored linen stripes that contain a waving design woven with violet wool. Prabably a fragment of a garment. The interlaced motif ressembles designs in late Roman mosaics.
